SCOTT BURGESS
Sound Designer
ABOUT ME
My name is Scott Burgess, and I'm a New Jersey-based audio professional specializing in sound design, music composition, and audio engineering for games, podcasts, and audiobooks.

I've been drawn to interactive audio since I first noticed how much a great sound cue or score could change the way a game felt. That instinct led me to build a career at the intersection of technical precision and creative storytelling — whether I'm designing SFX from scratch in Serum, composing an original soundtrack in Reason, or editing a voiceover session to broadcast standards in Pro Tools.

My background spans the full audio pipeline: I've engineered and edited audiobooks professionally, produced complete podcast episodes, and served as the sole audio creator on shipped educational games for Legends of Learning. Alongside that, I've spent three years as a Senior QA Analyst on Pokémon TCG Live, where I developed a sharp eye for quality, production discipline, and cross-team communication under real release pressure.

I'm currently completing a Certificate in Audio Arts at Full Sail University, and I'm actively looking for opportunities in game audio, sound design, and podcast or audiobook production — freelance, contract, or full-time.
